GROW

Personal development is investing time and resources into your most valuable asset- YOU. In order to do this, you need to reflect on your personal values and explore your strengths and weaknesses, then set goals based on what you want to achieve in your life.

Development Topics

Whether you are trying to work on your own individual development, or trying to plan workshops, inservices, or activities to facilitate development in others, here is a list of topics to consider when thinking about areas of personal development:

Career Planning

Are you ready for your career?  You need to start planning now (yes, NOW!). If one of the important destinations in your future is a much-desired job or position, a career plan truly is a roadmap to help you reach it. It’s very rare that someone will simply fall into their dream job. Most commonly, it takes years of planning, work and even a little bit of luck to develop your current situation into the career of your dreams. By isolating exactly what you’ll need to accomplish in order to be a candidate for the job you truly want, fulfilling the needed tasks will become much easier and your chances of success are much higher.
