The FSU Reservation, a 73-acre waterfront facility bordering beautiful Lake Bradford, serves as home base for Camp Flastacowo's Explorer Camp. Campers will be exposed to a variety of outdoor activities during eight one-week sessions, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. Campers will split their time exploring some of North Florida's outdoor recreation opportunities and exploring their inner abilities as leaders in a Summer Camp setting. Due to the challenging nature of this program, the camp is open only to youths ages 13-17. Each session is limited to 9 participants. Campers may sign up for as many sessions as desired.
Registration will be online again this year using our NEW Camp Registration Software! This means a couple of things 1) All of our Camp Families will have to create a new log-in 2) Camp Flastacowo will now be accepting ONLINE PAYMENT. We apologize for the inconvenience of having to creating a new account for our returning Families, but we are also very excited to be adding online payment that will hopefully make the registration process that much easier. Before you begin, please be sure to have your camper's health history, medical insurance, and immunization history information handy.
Upon registration, you'll need to download the Parental Informed Consent Form, which will be provided during the registration process. The consent document can now be digitally signed and emailed to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your payment without the additional documentation is considered incomplete and cannot be accepted. The Informed Consent Form may only be signed by the camper's parent or legal guardian.

Explorer Camp Activities
Possible Explorer Camp activities may include low & high challenge courses, canoeing, day hiking, orienteering, coastal kayaking, beach trips, and swimming, as well as discussion-based activities to develop their skills and abilities as leaders.
For the safety of the campers throughout this challenging week, each Monday, campers will perform a swim check. The swim check requires campers to swim 50 meters and tread water for 2 minutes. Use of the camper's own equipment for outdoor adventures is allowed but not required.
The Explorer Camp is operated by staff members of FSU's Campus Recreation department. All personnel are trained in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and emergency procedures. Each staff member has completed an intensive 40-hour camp training and has passed a background check. Certified lifeguards and other support staff supervise all waterfront activities.
