Florida State University does not provide accident insurance coverage for injuries received by Intramural Sports participants. Each participant should make sure that he/she has coverage either through family policies or the student insurance plan.
Florida State University PROHIBITS possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages on University property. Smoking and the use of smokeless tobacco is also prohibited at Campus Recreation facilities. This includes the Rec SportsPlex, Main Campus Fields, Westside Courts, and Tully Gym. Violators will be asked to leave the area. Failure to do so can result in forfeiture of the contest, suspension of individuals and/or teams, and appropriate action by the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities and/or FSU Police.

2017 Swim Meet Takes Place Monday, October 9th Starting at 6:30 pm in the Leach Center Pool
On Site at the Leach Center on the Day of the Meet
Registration Begins at 6:00 pm in the Spectator Area (2nd Level) of the Leach Center Pool, FSUCard Required of All Participants at Check-In
Registration is Held on an Event-by-Event Basis and Remains Open Throughout the Meet, Closing When the Event is Called (See Order Below)

7 Individual Events and 2 Relay Events
Preliminary Rounds Begin Monday, October 6th at 6:30 pm
Finals Begin at Approximately 8:30 pm or Immediately Following the Last Event's Preliminary Race
All Races are Held in the Leach Center Pool
The event is in the Leach Center. If you cannot get in the front gate, you cannot participate in the event. NO exceptions.
Participant and Team Information
Swimmers May Enter as an Individual (No Team) or Affliated with a Team.
Divisions for Team Scoring are Independent Men, Independent Women, Fraternity, and Sorority.
All Participants of a Particular Gender Will Race Together (Independent Men and Fraternity Team Members Will Be Mixed Together During the Meet, Racing Alongside Each Other in Qualifying Rounds and in the Final).
Individual Entry Limits
A Swimmer May Enter Up to 3 Events, at Least One Being a Relay Event (2 Individual Events + 1 Relay event, 1 Individual + 2 Relay). Each Swimmer May Enter a Maximum of 2 Individual Events.
Team Entry Limits
For Team Scoring, Each Team May Enter a Maximum of 2 Swimmers per Individual Event and One Relay Team per Event.
When a Team Enters More Than 2 Swimmers, Its First Two Swimmers (By Heat, then By Lane) are Considered Team Members for Scoring. Additional Swimmers (Later Heats or Higher Lane Numbers) are Not Considered for Team Points.
Individual Events: Preliminary Rounds & Event Finals
For Individual Events with 10 or Less Swimmers for a Particular Division that Register for the Preliminary Races, Those Preliminary Races Will Be Considered Timed Finals. No Final Will Be Held.
For Individual Events with More Than 10 Swimmers, the Top 8 Swimmers Tabulated by Times Across All Preliminary Races Will Advance to the Event Final. Swimmers in 9th and 10th Places Will Serve as Alternates.
Relay Events: Timed Finals
Regardless of the Number of Teams in a Particular Division, All Relay Races Will Be Conducted as Timed Finals with the Champion Determined by the Fastest Time Across All Heats.
The Top 6 Finishers in Each Event Score Points for Their Team Based on the Following Scales:
Individual Events: 7 Points for 1st Place, 5 for 2nd, 4, 3, 2, 1.
Relay Events: 14 Points for 1st Place, 10 for 2nd, 8, 6, 4, 2.
A False Start Results in Disqualification.
The Meet Officials May Disqualify Swimmers for Improper Swimming Technique.
Appropriate Swimwear is Required.
All Pool Rules Are In Effect During The Meet.
Women's Races are Held Prior ot Men's Races in Each Event.
