FSU Campus Recreations annual campaign video, Everyday Champions, took home first place for Student Digital Presentation at the 2018 NIRSA conference.
The video was the final piece of the #WinYourDay campaign, encouraging Florida State University students to view success through the lens of everyday actions and decisions.
The video was student-led, a collaboration between videographer Kyle Jones, creative lead/copywriter Morgan Rose and voiceover by Vanessa Foinquinos; under direction of assistant director of marketing, Alex Marse.
During his time at Florida State, Kyle Jones worked at Campus Recreation’s marketing department while pursuing a degree in Digital Media Production.
His documentary on a Tallahassee cold case made headlines in 2016. Since graduating, he has joined Boston-based Sleek Machine as a filmmaker and assistant producer.
Morgan Rose worked in Campus Recreation’s marketing department for three years, working as a copywriting intern, lead copywriter and finally as student director.
Her copywriting work for an Intramural Sports piece earned a 2017 AAF Silver ADDY. After graduating with a degree in Editing, Writing, Media, Rose joined Swift Agency in Portland, Or. as an Associate Strategic Planner.
NIRSA represents leaders in collegiate recreation. The NIRSA Creative Awards have been awarded since 2015, celebrating innovative marketing across college and university recreation programs.
