What was your first job?
My first job was working as a lifeguard at a neighborhood pool.
How did you get your start in Campus Recreation?
I was involved with Campus Recreation as a student in undergrad. My experiences then made me excited to stay apart of such a great part of campus life as a GA.
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy working out and spending time with my friends! I also would never turn down binge-watching some reality television.
What’s your favorite place to grab a meal in Tallahassee?
The options are endless! I love to go to Hobbit or Los Compadres, but I am trying to check out all of the options Tallahassee has to offer. There are so many places to choose from.
What do you do?
I work as an Athletic Trainer for Campus Rec. Meaning I provide injury prevention, education, evaluation, rehabilitative services, and emergency care to the participants of Campus Rec. This includes those in club sports, intramurals, and general students.
What does an average day look like?
Every day for me is different! Each day is usually filled with class, meetings, clinic hours, and nights out at either the RSP or Tully.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is being surrounded by so many other professionals that push me to be my best. The Campus Rec staff really is like a family, they make Tallahassee feel like home!
What advice would you give yourself in college?
As cliche as it is, I have learned to “trust the process”. I am a mega-planner, so it was always hard for me when my ideal situation didn’t play out as I wanted. I have learned that everything will eventually work itself out and to trust that you are always moving in the right direction for you!
