What was your first job?
My first job was working at a fast food sandwich maker for Rax Restaurants.
How did you get your start in Campus Recreation?
I was working in the health care industry commuting back and forth to Gainesville and wanted something different than healthcare in Tallahassee. I applied through a posting on LinkedIn and grateful to work in a university setting.
What do you do for fun?
I like to Travel, golf, and read.
Who do you admire and why?
My Dad. He is patriarch of our wonderful family and he is one tough son-of-a-gun. I continue to learn from him in many ways and he a great role model for my children.
What’s your favorite place to grab a meal in Tallahassee?
Tallahassee has many great places to eat…. Breakfast – Canopy Road Café; Brunch – Blu Halo; Lunch – Bird’s; Dinner – too many to list… Lucilla; Dessert – Food Glorious Food.
What do you do?
I am the Business Manger for Campus Recreation. My role is to help the directors with budgeting and accounting concerns.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I echo what everyone else here says – I’m lucky to get to work with many great people (Staff and students) that work hard and want to provide a great experience to all FSU students.
What advice would you give yourself in college?
Enjoy every minute of it! It’s true – the time here will go by fast. Get out of your dorm/apartment and get involved with all of the many resources you have at this university.
