About the Club

The Rugby Football Club at FSU seeks to foster an environment in which our student athletes can develop into men of character through hard work and community service. In all of our activities we will represent Florida State University, the City of Tallahassee, and the State of Florida honorably.

Overall, rugby has contributed to our well being so much that we feel compelled to share this sport with everyone. Our program not only gives students the opportunity to learn a new sport and stay fit, but to emerge themselves in a new culture, meet new friends, and enhance their college experience entirely. This is why it’s our mission to expand and share this experience with as many students at Florida State University.

During the season, three teams of approximately 20 players each are fielded; the First XV, which competes in the FCC, the Emerging XV, which is an intermediate level team, and the Development XV, which is for developing players. After each game, it’s tradition that the home team hosts a social where you get the opportunity to meet and network with people from all over the world!

The Men’s Rugby Club is always accepting interested players; no skill is required, just the desire to learn a new sport, meet a diverse group of individuals, and to have fun.
