Florida State University’s Group Fitness program offers over 2 dozen different classes and over 70 sessions each week during the fall and spring terms and dozens weekly each summer. All Group Fitness classes are FREE for current FSU students and Campus Recreation members.

Our small group training classes are similar to group fitness classes but are led by our nationally-certified personal trainers and feature more personalized instruction (more trainers per participant).

GFIT: Group Fitness Instructor Training

Over the course of 6 weeks, participants will learn the skills needed to teach a variety of different fitness classes including step, kickboxing and strength. After completing GFIT, you’ll be ready to audition for a position on our team. Sessions provide theoretical and practical trianing in preparation for taking a national certification exam. We do not offer an official certification.

Our Fall 2019 course begins Tuesday, September 17th and ends Thursday, October 24th with class sessions Tuesday afternoons from 3:45 until 4:45 and Thursday afternoons from 2:00 until 3:30.

FITNESS 2 YOU

Florida State University’s Campus Recreation is pleased to offer Fitness 2 You services to the campus community. We know it can sometimes be difficult to make time to workout at the Leach or FMC, so let us bring our fitness instructors to you!

We will come to your on campus location and provide your group/team with any of the classes below. Please fill out the form if you have any interest at all! Requests must be submitted 2 weeks in advance.
