About the Club
The FSU Wrestling Club is and organization for all students interested in the sport of amateur wrestling. Wrestling is the oldest combat sport, and various forms of it are found in all cultures across the world. FSU Wrestling Club members strive to uphold the values of discipline, integrity and mental fortitude. We welcome people of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced wrestlers.
FSU Wrestling Club members compete in the National College Wrestling Association (NCWA), which provides wrestling clubs nationwide with a chance to unify and compete at a level comparable to other NCAA schools. The NCWA also allows members to qualify for the national tournament.
Members will have the option to wrestle recreationally, compete at home tournaments only, or compete at both home and away tournaments. Our typical roster for the competition season is roughly 10 students, no prior experience necessary. Those interested in the club can attend an Open Mat practice on Sundays from 2-4 p.m.
