Leach Recreation Center – Indoor Track Closed December 15 – March 27

Campus Recreation is undertaking a multi-million dollar project to upgrade the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units throughout the building. Many of the units to be replaced are original to the building, installed in the early 1990s. The project will modernize the HVAC system reducing ongoing maintenance costs and improving overall efficiency. The project will take place in phases over a 12 to 15 month period.

Phase 1 of the project includes the HVAC units along the indoor track, causing the indoor track to be closed to patrons beginning December 15, 2025, with an anticipated completion date of March 27, 2026. As full closure of the track is required for this work, the department prioritized the winter months for this phase to allow patrons to consider outdoor running or walking when outdoor temperatures are more comfortable.
