Campus Recreation Student Director Opportunities

If you are currently working in FSU Campus Recreation, all program areas have established Student Director positions that work directly with professional staff members in order to accomplish the goals of the department.  These positions are high-responsibility positions that will give you experience in supervising staff members, conducting administration work, and oversight of certain parts of the program.  Every area conducts their own promotion process for Student Director positions; for more information please inquire with your direct professional staff supervisor.

Campus Recreation Student Leadership Council (SLC)

The Student Leadership Council is made up of student leaders throughout every program area in the department.  These leaders are the liaisons beteween the professional staff and the student staff.  The SLC conducts leadership workshops for the department; helps facilitate focus groups for participants and student employees; assists with planning and facilitating the Campus Rec Classic every spring; and helps with the Campus Rec Golf Tournament.  SLC members recieve additional professional development opportunities to further develop their leadership skills including a 2-day retreat before the start of the fall semester, workshop and conference opportunities, and other college campus facility and program tours.
